Spring FBI Crime Scene Investigation Day at Klentzman Intermediate

The Houston Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) provides another great partnership for Dare to Dream. When asked to speak with children about their community responsibilities as well as FBI careers, their response was very positive. The Harris Foundation, in collaboration with our Communities In Schools (CIS) Project Leaders and skilled members of the FBI office coordinated the fun filled activities for our Dare to Dream students.

Each school semester, the DTD students participate in a hands-on, educational FBI Crime Scene Investigation Day that brings them face-to-face with similar scenarios that forensic professionals demonstrate on some of the popular forensic shows on television today.  Agents show the Dare to Dream students the importance of math, science and communication skills to solve crimes as they dusted for footprints, lifted fingerprints, sketched fake crime scenes and wore personal protective equipment.

This spring, one of our Dare to Dream schools in Alief ISD Klentzman Intermediate, played the host for our CSI Day.  Take a look at our photo gallery below to see all the fun and excitement our students experienced while learning about an exciting career in forensics.
